Our Team
In alphabetical order, our amazing team is:
Jon is Facilities and Grounds Manager at Yarnton Manor—often referred to as ‘just call Jon’! He oversees maintenance and care for the property, grounds, and gardens. A lifelong Oxfordshire resident, he’s a keen motorcyclist and kickboxer.
SunHee joined the library as Cataloguer in early 2025 before becoming Library Assistant in 2026. Prior to Yarnton Manor, she served as a Pastoral Care Worker in churches across England and worked in early years education in her home country of Korea. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and gardening.
Miriam coordinates logistics, website, communications, and marketing at Yarnton Manor. With degrees in Philosophy and Theology and a background in church ministry, admin, and events, she joined the team in 2024 when she moved back to the UK with her family after 12 years in New Zealand. She’s married to Lyndon, and they have three teenage boys—all Māori New Zealanders.
David and Beverly Fleming served the local church together for more than thirty years. Sensing God’s call toward broader kingdom impact, they transitioned to the Lanier Foundation to develop and oversee world-class theological libraries and learning centers in Houston, TX and at Yarnton Manor in the UK. Having traveled to Yarnton monthly for nearly five years, they feel right at home at Yarnton Manor. Together, David and Beverly have three children, two grandchildren, and loads of frequent flyer miles.
Phoebe is Head Chef at Yarnton Manor, with over 20 years’ experience cooking for varied events. She trained as a professional chef in 2020 where she was taught ‘alchemy and garnishes’ (!) and loves providing quality food for groups gathering to encourage one another in their faith. Outside the kitchen, she enjoys art, cups of tea, and training for triathlons.
Sam joined Yarnton Manor in summer 2025, assisting Phoebe in creating innovative, nutritious, and tasty menus for guests and residents. He also contributes through various odd jobs, pursues ongoing study, and is involved in the life of his church, where he met his wife, Eve.
Rosslyn joined Yarnton Manor as Librarian in late 2025 after working in Oxford and Cambridge college libraries. Originally from Northern Ireland, she oversees the general running of the library and supports its readers and researchers. She enjoys theatre, painting, and boardgames – and is happy to offer recommendations for good local cafés if you’re looking for a cosy reading spot.
Zack is a Junior Research Fellow and Tutor in theology at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford. His research interests lie in the relationship between biblical studies and systematic theology, as well as the relationship between Christianity and the modern world. He spends his Thursdays in the Yarnton Manor Library where he helps lead a structured study program, Pen & Purpose.
John Lennox is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Lanier Library and Learning Centre. He is also an Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University, an Emeritus Fellow of Green Templeton College and President of the Oxford Centre of Christian Apologetics. He writes and speaks on the interface between theology, philosophy and science as well as the exposition of Scripture. He is married to Sally, and they have three children and ten grandchildren
Hannie serves as the Library Director at Yarnton Manor, bringing over two decades of library experience. She previously worked as College Librarian at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford, and served as Chair of ABTAPL (Association of British Theological and Philosophical Libraries). She is currently Vice-President and Editor of BETH (European Theological Library Association) and co-founded Oxford Theology Resources Link, a charity supporting theological libraries in Asia and Africa.
Martha is an ordained Anglican priest who joined Yarnton Manor after ten years in parish ministry in the Cotswolds. She’s passionate about building community both within the residential site and with the wider Yarnton village. Before ordination, Martha worked as an environmental journalist. She maintains her connection to the outdoors by tending the kitchen garden and developing areas of the estate with prayer and community in mind.
Tom is the Alfred Landecker Professor of Values and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, and serves as Senior Academic Advisor at Yarnton Manor. A philosopher by discipline, his research focuses on trust, political philosophy, and the intersection of technology and security. Before academia, he served as an officer with the Royal Marines Commandos, with tours in Northern Ireland, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He’s married to Martha, and they have three energetic children.
Annie is Estate Manager at Yarnton Manor, responsible for the daily management and functioning of the estate. She acts as first point of contact for all key strategic relationships, maintains high levels of customer service and hospitality, and coordinates employees, contractors, and third-party suppliers. Annie has a background in stage management and is a lover of live music and musical theatre.
Gordon oversees accounts and HR at Yarnton Manor and is a Chartered Accountant. After university and training in Leeds, he worked for a clothing manufacturer in Nottinghamshire, then for nearly twenty years at an Oxford college. He has worked for various charities and is a trustee for the North Oxford Overseas Centre. Gordon is married to Sue, an Anglican minister, and they have a grown-up son.
Dan is our Principal and Ministry Program Director. He’s a native Oxfordian and has been a pastor and church planter serving in Oxford and Birmingham for over 20 years. He authored Wise Church Planting, a global study supporting struggling planters and ministry workers. He’s married to Zoe and dad to Ellie, Barney, Josh and Abi – the former two having (mostly) flown the nest, the latter two still finishing school.
Teresa is Housekeeping Manager at Yarnton Manor, keeping the place clean and welcoming for guests and residents. Born in Yarnton – literally – she’s lived in the village all her life and has worked at the Manor for over 30 years. If you want to know some stories about the site, she’s the person to ask!
