Our purpose

Yarnton Manor’s Learning Centre is a charitable organization dedicated to scholarship, formation, and reflection. At its heart is the theological library, a resource for the pursuit of wisdom through serious study, thoughtful dialogue, and prayer. The Learning Centre seeks to host meetings, lectures, and discussion groups that focus on our mission of equipping pastors, supporting Christian academics, and strengthening faith.

We seek to serve local churches, mission-aligned groups, and the wider Christian academic community, offering space for study, reflection, and training. Through lectures, seminars, and residential programmes, we welcome pastors, Christian academics, students, and seekers into a community shaped by learning, hospitality, and faith. Internationally, we are enriched by visiting scholars and our association with Oxford University, while locally we desire to be a gracious presence in the Oxford community.

The Learning Centre is a private, not-for-profit foundation, and all that we host is directed toward our mission of equipping pastors, supporting Christian academics, and strengthening faith. While we value the interest of those who admire Yarnton Manor’s beauty and heritage, our facilities are not intended for weddings, parties, or unrelated events. While we are honoured that many see Yarnton Manor as a beautiful and meaningful place, our facilities are not available for weddings, parties, or private celebrations. We kindly ask visitors to help us preserve this historic space and join us in our vision that supports theological study, reflection, and Christian community.
