The Manor House
A 17th-century estate, preserves its historic beauty while incorporating modern updates. Blending heritage and renewal, it offers a timeless yet welcoming space for study, dialogue, and Christian community life. A place for meetings, conversation, and prayer.
A place to join in faith
A residential community at Yarnton Manor warmly supporting pastors and Christian academics from Oxford, including Wycliffe Hall, and from around the world. It is a place of prayer, study, and fellowship designed to nurture long-term relationships, encourage spiritual growth, and provide lasting support for those called to lead and teach in the church and academy.
A place of quiet and truth
The Yarnton Theological Library, housed in the Manor’s restored tithe barn, is a non-lending collection of over 10,000 volumes on Christianity, apologetics, and ministry. Designed as a place for study and reflection, it also provides welcoming spaces for conversation and exchange, with the surrounding grounds offering a peaceful setting to support learning and dialogue. It is also home to the Common pipistrelle, small but mighty in eating insects.
Flowers and fields
Yarnton Manor’s historic gardens and grounds, with their landscaped lawns, mature trees, and quiet corners, have long offered a place of peace and beauty. A massive beech tree and apple orchard serve to frame the manor along with the shimmering wheat fields. A footpath running through the estate connects the Manor to the surrounding village and countryside, linking its life to the wider community. Today, the vision is to preserve these historic gardens while ensuring they serve as spaces for prayer, reflection, and fellowship.
