Caring for Ministry Leaders at Yarnton Manor
At Yarnton Manor, we believe that healthy church leadership helps form healthy churches. Ministry is a privilege, but it can, at times, also be demanding, lonely, and draining. That is why one of our core commitments is to provide care for ministry leaders.
Proactively, we host monthly reEquip days designed to encourage, resource, and connect leaders from different church streams. Each gathering tackles a vital theme for sustainable ministry, combining biblical reflection, theological depth, and practical wisdom.
In addition, our annual retreat, Pastoral Posture, offers extended space to step back, be refreshed in God’s presence, and rediscover the joy of serving Him with resilience and humility.
We also warmly invite you to join us for a new Greek reading group. Our group offers a relaxed and friendly environment, helping re-equip you to read the Greek New Testament for your personal devotions and in preaching preparation.

Reactively, we recognise that leaders sometimes need immediate rest and renewal. The Manor’s accommodation options, peaceful rooms, gardens, and surrounding countryside create a restorative setting for short or longer stays. Whether someone needs urgent time away to recover from the pressures of ministry, or simply a quiet place to pray and think, Yarnton provides space to breathe again.
Our pastoral staff are also available to meet confidentially with guests, offering time, a listening ear, prayer, and encouragement as needed. The combination of thoughtful events, a supportive environment, and one-to-one care ensures that leaders are not left to carry their burdens alone.
Our hope is that every visitor leaves Yarnton Manor strengthened to continue in faithful gospel ministry, refreshed in Christ, and re-equipped for the calling God has placed before them.
